2012 has presented many problems, mainly the lack of time to enjoy photography. This year’s bird selection includes photo shoots in San Diego (CA), Avila Beach (CA) and Prescott (AZ). All images were shot with either an EOS Canon Mark II or a Canon 7D. The primary lens used was an EF500mm f/4.0L IS with a 1.4x EF Teleconverter attached and supplemented by an EF300mm f/4.0L IS lens. I used a Manfrotto 393 Lens Support on a Gitzo MK2 Mountaineer Tripod when shooting with the 500.
